In this moderated panel session, we will take a close look at what family offices are grappling with as they manage their investment porfolios and holdings. We will examine internal factors, such as family dynamics, effective due diligence processes and intergenerational change and how that affects the overall investment approach. We will also explore the external environment and how that might influence decisions - what economic and business issues are weighing on your mind as you seek long-term investment success, and how do you plan for that?
Peter is the Chief Investment Officer of MRB House. He is based in Melbourne and has been at the organisation since April 2022. Peter's remit is investing in the highest quality actively managed funds focused on international and domestic listed equities, private equity, venture capital and absolute returns.
Peter has a varied background with experience in investment banking, corporate M&A, private equity and investing in public stocks.
Peter holds an MBA from Melbourne Business School, a Bachelor of Commerce, a Diploma of Financial Planning and is a Chartered Accountant.
Matthew Bottrell is the Chief Executive Officer & Chief Investment Officer at JFO Group, a Single Family Office based in Melbourne. Matthew’s remit ranges from investing and investment management to the creation of a legacy for the family and the management of wealth transfer for the family.
Matthew brings three decades of experience across Investment Banking, Strategy and Investment Management. Matthew has performed roles in Investment Management across Australia, the United Kingdom and Europe as both a Fund Manager and Portfolio Manager.
Matthew holds a Master of Law and a Bachelors degree in Economics and Accounting.
