Sonya Williams is the co-founder and co-CEO of Sharesies. Sharesies’ vision is to create financial empowerment for people and companies through their wealth app and technology. Over the past seven years, Sonya has worked with her co-CEOs to grow Sharesies into one of Australasia's most impactful Fintechs, with over 865,000 investors and 600+ companies using the app.

Sonya has built a career in technology, global marketing, and product management. She is passionate about using technology to solve big problems and create a more equitable society.

Most recently, she was recognised alongside her co-founders and co-CEOs, Brooke and Leighton Roberts, as a recipient of the 2025 Icehouse Ray Thompson award, which recognises entrepreneurs who demonstrate integrity, proactivity, and entrepreneurial energy. She was also named the 2022 NZ Services Entrepreneur of the Year and a 2020 Women of Influence - Business Award winner.
