Graduating with distinction from LSE, Russell began his career in M&A at EY-Parthenon, where he became one of the firm’s youngest dealmakers. Today, as a second-generation leader of Jean Yip Developments, he spearheads the firm’s expansion across cross-border real estate.
Recognized for his thought leadership in next-generation leadership and investment strategy, Russell has spoken at DBS’s Future Leaders Program, APAC Family Office Summit in Singapore, as well as at APREA Real Estate Conferences in Tokyo and Abu Dhabi. His insights have been featured in leading industry reports, including the Vistra Fund Solutions Index 2025, where he is profiled for his work on real estate economics.
Timothy is part of the Family Office of OUE Limited, a diversified real estate, hospitality, and healthcare group, with a portfolio of best-in-class commercial, hospitality, retail, residential, and healthcare assets across Singapore, Japan, Indonesia, and China. OUE is the international flagship arm of the Lippo Group, one of Asia's largest and most diversified conglomerates, and Indonesia's largest services group. OUE has over S$9 billion in total assets and S$5.8 billion in funds under management through its two listed Real Estate Investment Trusts (REIT) – OUE REIT and First REIT, Singapore's first listed healthcare REIT.
Within the Family Office, Timothy and his team manage the portfolio for OUE's Executive Chairman and Group CEO, Dr Stephen Riady, and his family by actively implementing the family's investment strategy, monitoring investment performance, selecting funds, allocating assets, ensuring compliance, and reporting performance. The family has allocated over $200m across direct investments, single-portfolio, and multi-portfolio funds. They are also closely involved in corporate venture development for OUE and Lippo Group, constantly seeking new ideas and markets to expand existing businesses and pursue strategic growth.
Timothy holds a bachelor's degree in applied mathematics and statistics from the University of California, Berkeley, and master's degrees in statistics and financial mathematics from the National University of Singapore and the University of Chicago, respectively.
