This session will be an insightful discussion exploring Australia’s growing presence in the space sectorLarissa Wiese will provide a broader perspective on the current state of play, the role of universities in advancing space research and technology, and set the context of what is upstream and downstream in the space industry. Ram Kuppusamy will share how Space Angel, an Australian aerospace pioneer, is creating the world’s first dual-corridor sustainable spaceport system — the  Australian Space Super Corridor (Eucla, WA) for polar launches and the Indo-Pacific Space Corridor (Christmas Island) for equatorial launches. As well as explain his work in upstream, handing over to Ariane Platell, who will present QL Space’s work in the downstream space industry, highlighting exciting innovations and emerging opportunities for Family Offices to consider. Together, they’ll offer a comprehensive look at the opportunities, challenges, and collaborations shaping Australia’s future in space.
