Leah joined Australian Ethical Investment in December 2016. Leah has more than 25-years’ experience in financial services distribution, including senior distribution positions with Rothschild Asset Management, BT Financial Group, Barclays Global Investors and IOOF. In her role as Head of Distribution, Leah is responsible for leading a team of relationship managers across Australian Ethical’s intermediated channels, including financial planners, researchers, consultants, private wealth, family offices, foundations and not for profits.

Kristin Edmonds

Managing Principal , Walsh Bay Partners

Understanding that there will be an unprecedented global transfer of wealth over the next few decades, Kristin is committed to helping families prepare themselves for that transition. She embraces a holistic approach toward family advisory work, examining the underlying dynamics of a family when designing a client’s bespoke strategy framework. Kristin has advised some of the largest families in the US, Australia, New Zealand and Asia. Her global experience includes complex alternative assets, private market investments, real assets, socially responsible and impact investing. She serves on the Australian Ballet Ambassadors Board as well as several private Family Advisory Boards and Investment Committees. Kristin also enjoys contributing to the Stanford Alumni Network by interviewing prospective students in Australia who are interested in attending her alma mater. 

Tim Loftus

Founder, Better Outside

Tim Loftus is a global leader in change leadership, sustainability strategy and innovation. Having worked for some of the largest outdoor brands in North America, Australia and NZ, Tim has a unique perspective on the role of business in driving social change and ecological restoration.

Tim is the founder of Christchurch based advisory, Better Outside, working with family offices and privately held businesses in crafting values-based investment strategies. Tim is an independent director of Ballantynes and the Industry Lead for Sustainability at the University of Canterbury.

Brent Ogilvie

Co-Founder and Managing Director , Pacific Channel

Brent Ogilvie is co-founder and Managing Director of Pacific Channel.

Through Pacific Channel activities as a seed investor, Mr. Ogilvie serves

as Director of:

• Breathe Easy Limited

• Living Green Group Limited

• Vortex Power Systems Limited

• Diasense Limited

Mr Ogilvie was also previously Director of:

• Engender Technologies Limited, which developed a proprietary process to separate X (female) and Y (male) bearing bull sperm cells to enable cattle farmers to choose the sex of offspring. Mr Ogilvie co-founded Engender and led it from foundation to its successful sale to a global dairy genetics company generating a significant capital return for its scientists, Auckland UniServices, Pacific Channel and its co-investors.

• Somnaceutics Limited, which successfully developed and sold the intellectual property of a sleep-enhancement tonic and its other business assets to an NZX-listed company;

• Ecodiesel Limited, a biodiesel technology company that sold its business assets to Z Energy;

• D'Arcy Polychrome Lmited, which sold its assets to Drikolor Inc;

• SciTOX Limited, which sold its assets to CertusBIO Limited;

• Footfalls and Heartbeats, which is commercialising a process for designing & manufacturing textiles where the textile itself can perform a sensory function.

He is a Council Member of the Angel Association of New Zealand.

Prior to co-founding Pacific Channel, Mr Ogilvie was New Zealand Consul & Trade Commissioner to

New York. He was formerly an industrial product manager for a global corporation and an advisor to

New Zealand start-ups.
