Yasmina Darveniza
Yasmina’s career spans entrepreneurship, institutional investing, advisory, and operating roles — giving her a multi-dimensional view of how capital is deployed, governed, and grown. She began by co-founding a game development company while completing her law degree, developing an early appreciation for risk-taking, resilience, and founder dynamics. She later worked with Accenture across Australia and Europe, advising organisations on strategy and transformation in complex environments. After completing her MBA at London Business School, Yasmina spent six years in London as a venture capital investor, partnering closely with founders and co-investors on governance, capital strategy, and long-term value creation in high-growth technology companies. This experience sharpened her conviction in disciplined capital allocation and the importance of alignment at the board level. Returning to Brisbane, she re-engaged with her family’s property enterprise and co-founded a commercial and residential property management business with her husband. Today, her perspective is informed equally by institutional rigour and the practical realities of building and stewarding businesses across generations.
Jason Ellenport
Jason’s career spans 25 years as a founder, advisor and investor in privately held, family owned and entrepreneur led businesses spanning a broad range of industry sectors. He is a tenured member and former Board member of Entrepreneurs Organisation, a Founding Principal of corporate advisory firm, Edison Partners and a Founding Partner of Edison Growth Fund (his current focus) - a Melbourne based private equity manager partnering with growth stage businesses with an ANZ investment mandate. Since 2023 Jason has brought this combined experience to his role as Chair of the PWN Investment Deal Flow Peer Group (VIC).
Nim de Swardt
Nim de Swardt is a Narrative Practitioner, Non-Executive Director, and Strategic Advisor. She became the world’s first Chief Next Generation Officer at a US$16 billion, seventh-generation family-owned company. This groundbreaking intergenerational leadership experience inspired her to teach strategies for intergenerational connection globally, drawing on her expertise in communications, narrative therapy, human-centered design, storytelling and social science. Nim serves as Guest Faculty for the Modern Elder Academy and sits on the Board of Brand Gold Coast. She is completing her Master's research on how narrative practices can build legacy capital within significant families. Her guiding philosophy is simple: Stories forge connection; Connection creates health.
Owen Morgan
I value curiosity, clarity, and genuine connection. I’ve led businesses across tourism, health, biotech, private equity, and consumer sectors. Today I chair Australia’s largest private tourism group, lead a biotech venture, chair at CEO Institute, and write fiction that explores how people navigate uncertainty and change. I’ve lived and worked in Europe and Japan. Sydney is home. I studied science, industrial design, and business—probably for a little longer than necessary—and still play soccer twice a week, despite being old enough to know better. I’m a father and family sits at the centre of my life.
Harry Rourke
An investment professional with over 15 years experience across property and private capital markets. I cofounded Couloir Capital in 2020, a Sydney-based advisory and investment firm working with family offices, and best-in-class managers across private markets. I began my career in private banking, moved to institutional property and then to funds management, before moving into a principal investment role where I lead capital raising, platform development, and strategic advisory across sectors. Today, I also work closely with families to navigate complexity, design governance frameworks, and align capital with long-term generational goals. I try to bring a pragmatic, relationship first mindset and a focus on sourcing high-conviction opportunities that balance risk discipline with long-term value creation. Outside of work, I am a busy husband and father of two, an average but very keen golfer and an active supporter of School for Life Foundation.
Jo-Ann Eastwood
With a background in team leadership and customer relationship management within the insurance industry, Jo has spent the past three years engaged in the study of philanthropy. She has mentored the younger generation in the Eastwood Family Group, co-creating their family foundation with a focus on fostering lasting relationships and shared purpose. Jo is passionate about sharing knowledge on philanthropy and family wealth, helping families build stronger connections and make informed, values-aligned decisions for future generations.
Megan Flamer
Megan Flamer is a transformational learning designer, facilitator and keynote speaker with over 20 years of global experience. She is currently an Adjunct Senior Industry Fellow with RMIT’s Centre for Workforce Transformation, an Associate with Monash Business School and Founder of the learning consultancy, Excited Adults. Megan has designed programs for Google, Coca-Cola, and elite emergency teams in healthcare and prison systems, and was a founding member of Monash University's Centre for Consciousness. A dynamic facilitator and former ABC broadcaster, Megan helps organisations create cultures of resilience, insight, and human flourishing. She is a PhD candidate with Monash University’s WonderLab.
Jonny Schauder
Jonathan (Jonny) Schauder is a registered veteran psychologist and master facilitator with more than 30 years’ experience working across family enterprise, corporate, community and government systems. An authority on conflict, collaboration and negotiation, he has taught at Harvard Law School and in the Monash MBA, and presents the renowned Getting to Yes program in Australia. Jonny is the author of eight books on personal and organisational performance and is widely trusted to resolve complex, high-stakes challenges. A father of nine, he brings both professional expertise and lived experience to conversations on leadership, succession and wealth stewardship.
Jenna Liang (Farrell)
I am a third-generation wealth holder with a deep commitment to thoughtful stewardship and long-term impact. Philanthropy has been a constant thread throughout my career, and I now lead our mid-sized family foundation, helping to shape strategy and guide our giving in a way that reflects both our values and the evolving needs of the community. Originally from Hong Kong, I moved to Sydney after marrying my husband, and we now live in Centennial Park with our three beautiful children and our much-loved Bernese Mountain Dog. I feel fortunate to bridge cultures and generations — drawing on my family’s legacy while shaping our next chapter with intention and care.
Hugo Douglas
Hugo’s career commenced in 1998 within the banking and finance industry including roles in Australia and the UK with NAB Business Bank, Credit Suisse and Deutsche Bank. Since joining Investment Management Australia in 2005, Hugo has coordinated the due diligence, deal structuring and ongoing management of the IMA shareholders’ property development investments across Australia. In addition to his role in the Family business, Hugo is a director of the Douglas Family's Foundation and Future Fund and is passionate about exploring family dynamics and harmony. He has been a member of PWN since 2015 and has been Chair of the Qld Investment Peer Group since 2023.
Kris Vogelsong
Kris Vogelsong was appointed PWN Property Owners Peer Group Chair in April 2022. He has a broad understanding of the asset class as an investor, advisor on transactions, and in establishing ASX’s listed property business. Kris is a Founder and Director of Clearwater Capital.
Nick Palmer
Nick has extensive business and investment leadership and advisory experience, in particular in privately owned settings. He has been a CEO and board director of three substantial privately owned groups, one an asset manager and one which included a sizeable family office investing across a broad spectrum of asset classes. Nick is a former partner and financial services leader at Bain & Co and principal at the Boston Consulting Group, both global strategic consulting firms, where he advised multiple fund managers in the US, Asia and Australia. He is the advisory board and investment committee chair for a substantial Melbourne family, and led the establishment of their multi-asset fund of funds. Nick also advises other families on investment, business and leadership matters. He spent the early years of his career as an equities, futures and options sales trader.
Sam Wylie
Dr. Sam Wylie is an Associate Professor at the University of Melbourne and a Principal Fellow of Melbourne Business School, specialising in wealth management, banking, and corporate finance. He holds a PhD from the London Business School, with additional degrees in Economics and Engineering from ANU and UWA respectively. Over his twenty-year academic career, including a tenure at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, his research has primarily focused on portfolio management incentives and financial system stability. He is a celebrated educator, having received Melbourne Business School's Teaching Excellence Award 12 times, and actively teaches courses in banking, financial engineering, and corporate finance. Dr. Wylie also runs Windlestone Education, providing strategic and financial education to banks, superannuation funds, and family offices across Australia and the region. His expertise is regularly featured in the Australian Financial Review and on national media.
Stuart Wesley
As a young man, working in the family glass and aluminium window business, Stuart knew his future was working with people, supporting the growth and development of others. This led him towards a first vocation in pastoral ministry where his gifts and abilities in public speaking, coaching and leadership were able to shine. Eventually, the desire to be involved in the broader community led Stuart on a journey to reframe his vocation in a commercially appealing way. Having experienced the highs and lows of watching his parents navigate family business and having built up his skill set in understanding human dynamics, Stuart found his niche. Whilst working with any kind of organisation is rewarding, the joy of helping family enterprises succeed commercially AND being able to experience rich family relationships became his focal point.
