PWN x STRUT Dance and Perth Festival Showcase
Join STRUT Dance for a behind-the-scenes experience of Perth Moves, Western Australia’s premier annual dance festival. PWN members and invited guests will explore contemporary dance, meet leading artists, and witness the creative process up close.
The afternoon begins at King Street Arts Centre, STRUT’s home, where Co-Directors James O’Hara and Sofie Burgoyne will share the organisation’s vision, highlight key projects, and discuss the vital role of dance in Perth’s cultural life.
Attendees will move to the studio for exclusive viewings, starting with Emma Fishwick, a Western Australian choreographer, showcasing a short workshop performance and her creative process from concept to movement. Members and guests will also observe 12 professional dancers rehearsing under the guidance of Boris Charmatz’s assistant, Magali Caillet Gajan, ahead of his upcoming workshop performance.
This gathering offers a rare opportunity to connect with artists, explore collaboration, and experience the artistry behind Perth’s vibrant dance community, celebrating the stories brought to life through movement.
