Jamie Montgomery is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner of March Capital. At March, Jamie focuses on identifying disruptive next-generation technology companies and providing capital at a critical inflection point. He is responsible for leading investments, mentoring entrepreneurs, raising capital, communicating with investors, and building the organization and culture of the firm.
Jamie’s experience advising a generation of entrepreneurs and financing hundreds of leading technology companies over 25+ years as Founder and CEO of boutique investment bank, Montgomery & Co., provided not only a network but also a foundation for Jamie’s pivot to venture capital in 2014. He is also the Founder of The Montgomery Summit, an annual technology conference since 2004 that attracts over 1,000 global entrepreneurs, investors, and corporate executives to Santa Monica.
Jamie currently serves on the Board of Directors of ASAPP, Essential AI, Forter, & Overjet, and he is a Board Observer at EarnIn & ThoughtSpot. Additionally, Jamie was a Board Observer at CrowdStrike and played a key role in its growth as a private company.
Born in Seattle and raised in the Pacific Palisades, Jamie attended Pembroke College at the University of Cambridge (M.A., Economics) and the University of California, San Diego (B.A., Political Science), where he received the Changemakers Alumni award in 2022 and Illustrious Alumni Award in 2025. Jamie is passionate about supporting education, scholarship, youth formation, homelessness and hunger, and medical research, and he provides the leadership to March Capital’s community engagement and philanthropic programs. Jamie enjoys seeing entrepreneurs and members of the March team grow in their roles and achieve great success. Outside of work, Jamie dives into a stack of books and enjoys golf, travel, and time with family.
