Background

Yasmina’s career spans entrepreneurship, institutional investing, advisory, and operating roles — giving her a multi-dimensional view of how capital is deployed, governed, and grown.

She began by co-founding a game development company while completing her law degree, developing an early appreciation for risk-taking, resilience, and founder dynamics. She later worked with Accenture across Australia and Europe, advising organisations on strategy and transformation in complex environments.
After completing her MBA at London Business School, Yasmina spent six years in London as a venture capital investor, partnering closely with founders and co-investors on governance, capital strategy, and long-term value creation in high-growth technology companies. This experience sharpened her conviction in disciplined capital allocation and the importance of alignment at the board level.

Returning to Brisbane, she re-engaged with her family’s property enterprise and co-founded a commercial and residential property management business with her husband. Today, her perspective is informed equally by institutional rigour and the practical realities of building and stewarding businesses across generations.

Chairing Style

Yasmina’s chairing style is structured, inclusive, and decisively outcome-oriented. She prioritises trust, candour, and shared learning, creating an environment where Members can engage openly and challenge one another constructively.
Her focus is depth over surface commentary: ensuring conversations remain commercially relevant and translate into perspectives Members can apply immediately. She believes enduring peer groups are built over time through open conversation, respectful challenge, and a genuine willingness to learn from one another.

Areas of Interest

Yasmina is particularly interested in how investment decisions are made under real-world constraints — where capital, responsibility, and long-term stewardship converge. She is drawn to discussions on private markets, operating risk, portfolio construction, and the practical execution of strategy. Above all, she values insights that sharpen judgement and lead to clearer thinking at the decision-making table.
Outside of work, Yasmina is grounded by family life with her two young boys. She enjoys travel, hiking, chess, and scuba diving — pursuits that reflect her curiosity and love of challenge.
